Dude, this is really really good. Best work by far. I have no complaints about this one. I was glad to see that you uploaded when I logged in a few minutes ago and I'm certainly glad I clicked it. The VRC6 is by far my favorite chip too... Great job on the song. ^^

I have a little time under my belt with Famitracker now and I guess it's a good sign when you look back at your older songs and compare them to your newer ones and can see some strides of progress.

Thanks Volcan!

Good luck in the contest! ^^

Knuckles07 responds:

Thanks Volcan!

Solid. Simple. Awesome. Nicely done. Only advice I can think would be to work on the volume levels just a little. There was a part or two where it seemed a little overpowered to me. Keep up the good work! Love the Noise Drums. :D

Knuckles07 responds:

I played with the volume a lot on this song. I'm still learning how to judge volume depending on which channel it applies to. Not quite as smooth in that aspect of Famitracker yet. Getting there, though.

Always good to hear from you, Volcan. Thanks!

Dude, I feel like this is a lot better than your previous songs. Really nice use of the N163. Main thing is it's not TOO repetitive. Keep up the awesome work. :D

Knuckles07 responds:

Thanks Volcan. I appreciate that. I had a lot of fun making this one. A lot of head bobbing going on to this song.

Ok, so I've taken the time to listen to all 3 of your songs, and I gotta say; for the level you're at I'm pretty impressed. 3 Originals with no expansions used? Not something I'd attempt with my first shots.

I personally feel like this one here is the better of your work so far. I gotta admit though, after a little while they seem to be kinda bland. More variety and possibly the addition of noise/dpcm could change the piece for better or worse.

I'm sure if you keep working at it, you'll be caught up to me in no time at all though. You're doing good so far. Just continue experimenting around and you'll find many things that you like. I'll be looking forward to what you end up doing with this. :)

When I started Famitracker I first learned from a tutorial set on Youtube through 8bitdanooct1's channel. Anything past that is all pretty much self taught. Just keep at it and you'll have yourself a nice fun little hobby at your fingertips. ^^

Knuckles07 responds:

Thanks Volcan,

I learned through 8bitdanooct's channel as well, but not the whole thing. When I learn the full potential of Famitracker (note effects, noise/DPCM, expansions, etc.), then we'll see what happens. That means more time devoted to less songs, but that should mean better songs.

Thanks you very much for the review!

Sounds like something I'd like to hear in a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game. It would fit to the Exploration/Victory type of setting perfectly there. Love the song. :D

Troisnyx responds:

Thanks! ^^

Nicely done Trois! Loving the echoes going throughout this song. I agree that this would fit great in a cutscene. The setting you described sounds so awesome and I feel like this would fit perfectly into it. :D

Troisnyx responds:

Eh, thanks ^_^

Amazing job once again!! Love your new Mic, and like I told you before, I can hear you much better than before. (higs)

Troisnyx responds:

Higs to you too! XD Thanks for listening!

Not bad! Definitely have to finish it!!

Also, I'd love to see you do a version of Sonic 2's Final Boss. That song holds a place in my heart and I would love to hear your take on it. :D

squiral responds:

I will definitely look into it! I am perfecting, mixing, and recording this piece as we speak! And it is its full length :)
